Our client, a Freight Forwarding and Logistics company are currently seeking a Routings Clerk to join their team based in Hampshire. As the Routings Clerk, you will deal with new bookings that are received, filling in all details that are received onto the company system, ensuring all details are correct when handing over to the operational team. You will prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and other required paperwork. Main duties of the Routings Clerk: Monitor the progress of shipments and ensuring customers are kept up to date, addressing any delays or issues that may arise. Analyze shipment details, such as size, weight, and delivery deadlines, to determine the most appropriate routing options. Liaise with global offices on a daily basis, ensuring you receive all details required to complete bookings. Maintain accurate records of routing activities, including carrier contracts, rates, and shipment details. The successful Routings Clerk will have a familiarity with routing software and logistics management systems. You will need to have previous experience working in a similar role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry. We are keen to hear from candidates who have strong communication and negotiation skills.
