Job Title: Communications Operator : HC613647 Location: Southampton Central Police Station Salary: Scale 3, GBP 23,121 : GBP 24,462 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week (Worked over Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) Contract: Temporary for 12 months Closing Date: Sunday 14th January 2024 at 23.59 hours Information for Internal Staff who wish for this role as a secondment Internal Secondment Declaration Form If you would like for this temporary post as a secondment you must have the prior approval of your current Line Manager and Head of Department. Please therefore ensure you have completed the 'Police Staff Internal Secondment Declaration', and forwarded it as instructed to obtain their sign: off. This step must be completed so the form is submitted as part of the application process, prior to the vacancy's closing date. Your declaration form should be uploaded alongside your application form. Please note that completion of this declaration is required whether or not your application is supported. Lack of managerial support will not prohibit you from applying, but it may have implications on your employee status. As a result you should consider this fully. Such applications will be treated on a case: by: case basis and following consultation with the Head of HR and OD, as per the Secondment guidance. Would you like to become part of our small team providing an essential service within the Hampshire and IOW Constabulary? We are looking for someone to join our small dynamic team who are thefirst point of contact for members of the public who phone Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police on the non: emergency number (101) during the hours of 8am and 6pm. In this role as well as managing expectations and signposting, you will also be transferring callers to the most appropriate department that can assist them. Full training will be given.
