Job Description: Field Service Power Generation TechnicianDescription$5000,00 Sign on Bonus!We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team specializing in generator repairs for our sales and service location located in Fargo, North Dakota.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Completing preventative maintenance and repairs on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.To be successful in this role you will need the following:Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.Flexibility to work various hours and days of the week with the ability to be on call and available for emergency needsMust meet all requirements to drive a Company vehicle including a valid driver’s license and insuranceMust be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment as requiredLocally valid driving permit(Intermediate) Technician Level II: Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for a technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.(Advanced) Technician Level III: Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for a technician at this location; frequently engaged in complex diagnosis and repair; requires minimal to no supervision; ability to effectively train and guide less experienced technicians of varying skillsets.Education, Licenses, CertificationsApprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institutionCurrent relevant electrical certificationLocally valid driving permitThis position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.ExperienceBasic level field service work experienceIntermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation productsHigh Voltage/ Low Voltage experienceCustomer service experienceThis position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.A current valid license is required for this roleThis role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violationsThis role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical3 years driving experienceThis role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device useFederal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age.Compensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range.
