This is a full-time direct hire position that is looking to pay between $80k-$100k/yr and is looking for candidates with 3-7 years of experience. This position would prefer someone with a degree and a working knowledge with 5S processes. This is a fully onsite position out of Kent Island, MD and is looking to hire ASAP. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing Incorporate new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness Determine root causes of failures or recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods, using statistical procedures Prepare reports summarizing information or trends related to manufacturing performance Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures Other duties may be assigned EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar. 0-3 years’ experience with Manufacturing Systems Experience in the design, optimization & integration of machine vision systems, conveyors, bar code readers, s/w & sensors into efficient & reliable production automation systems is a plus but not required Experience with engineering development processes Must be capable of working independently Strong hands on electrical/mechanical aptitude Ability to use power tools and measuring tools Powered by JazzHR
