Yampa Valley Electric (YVEA) in Steamboat Springs seeks applicants for the position of Engineer Intern.The Engineer Intern will aid the YVEA engineering team including but not limited to updating the substation photos, update of substation 1-lines and AC/DC Schematics, organizing and inventorying YVEA transmission system drawings. They will load material technical data sheets in the ABS computer systems. Organize and populate historical WO data into the GIS and ABS systems. They will also assist with the inspection and testing of distributed generation interconnection. They will ensure proper care and storage of YVEA vehicles, equipment, tools and materials. Performs all responsibilities in accordance with YVEA Policies and Operating Procedures. National Electrical Safety Code, RUS Standards, IEEE/ANSI Standards and OSHA Regulations. High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
