The Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District serves all of the City of Oak Creek and a 7-square mile portion of the City of Franklin. Our community, including the schools, have gone through many changes. We have opened two new school buildings and there are numerous renovation projects that include expanding and improving our existing schools. The addition of Drexel Town Square continues to attract and add new businesses to the City. The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for empowering schools to become more efficient, effective, and equitable places of learning. The Assistant Superintendent will oversee the planning, implementation and monitoring of all educational services, including working directly with families in crisis. Most importantly, the Assistant Superintendent will take a lead role in fostering a student-focused, results-oriented district culture that places priority on improving organizational learning, and the continuous improvement of student services.The hiring process will include initial interviews on March 9, 2020 and the second round interviews on March 13, 2020. The final decision will be made within one week of the second round interviews and it will include a meeting with the Superintendent. Essential Duties Direct supervisor to Director of Student Services, Director of Youth Programs, Early Childhood & 4K Teachers Serves as principal to the 4K program Serves as the District Safety Officer Oversees the At Risk, Alternative Education & English Language Learners programs Develops, maintain, and coordinate the essential processes for central enrollment Insures adoption and implementation of best practices in immunization compliance Expands professional awareness and understanding of equity and culturally responsive practices Facilitates intervention meetings for students that violate the drug and alcohol policy Collaborates with stakeholders for the youth programs and student services on a regular basis Completes annual compliance reports (i.e. non-discrimination, Immunizations, title I comparability, Ed of Year Federal grant report, Civil rights, ESEA etc.) Completes staffing and services for students with health care needs including school district nurses, medical advisor, and health room aides. Coordinates transportation with contracted vendors including Riteway, Go-Kid-Go, American Taxi etc. Coordinates programming for International students and students experiencing homelessness; designated district homeless liaison.
