General ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Director of Appraiser, performs Multiple Regression Analysis to create and maintain accurate and equitable valuation models for all property values within the boundaries of Lubbock Central Appraisal District (LCAD). Performs analysis of appraisal data as needed. Examples of Responsibilities 1. Develops mass models using multiple regression techniques.2. Analyzes the results of model programming and modify programs to optimize performance and meet goals and objectives.3. Tests, documents, and validates models.4. Prepares and analyzes a variety of technical, statistical, or narrative reports.5. Analyzes data to ensure optimal quality, integrity, and validity.6. Assists Director of Appraisal in presenting information on models.7. Assists in appraisal project planning.8. Uses industry-standard statistical analysis methods to improve and maintain accuracy on appraisals of all property types.9. Assists with the development and production of the biannual re-appraisal plan and USPAP reports.10. Meets the registration and re-certification requirements as a Registered Professional Appraiser (RPA) with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).11. Assists in the Residential, Commercial and Land sections.12. Creates and runs Custom Reporting queries and reports for appraisal related activities.13. Mass updates various appraisal related changes.14. Regular attendance and punctuality. This is an exempt position and overtime may be required.15. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Appraisal, Deputy Chief Appraiser or Chief Appraiser Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in related field or 2 years experience in computer assisted mass appraisal, multiple regression analysis, or sales ratio studies or 1 year experience in ad valorem appraisal and 1 year experience in an Assessor's Office computer assisted mass appraisal unit. Applicant must be able to successfully complete the requirements for the (RPA) designation with the TDLR. A valid Texas driver's license with a verifiable driving record is required. Subject to background check and drug test. US Preferred Qualifications – Experience with SPSS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access, specifically developing sql queries and reports. RPA certification or equivalent state certification, IAAO designation, college degree in related field, mass or fee appraisal or additional years of real estate experience. Applicant must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. (An equivalent of related education, training and experience may also be considered).
