Certified Light Duty Mechanic Musselwhite Mine Purpose The Maintenance department’s goal is to continue to foster a safe and efficient work environment, minimize downtime and ensure optimum equipment effectiveness through proactive maintenance practices. The selected Light Duty Mechanic will have a high focus on safety and environmental protection in all aspects of the job. This position will report to the Site Services Team Leader. Responsibilities Troubleshooting, inspecting and repairing light duty equipment Cleaning and lubricating equipment component Provide minor component replacement Light welding and fabrication Low voltage electrical repairs Assist in minimizing equipment downtime and maintenance Ensure optimum overall equipment effectiveness through proactive PM, Pd M-based maintenance practices Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals - both within department and inter-departmentally Requirements Must possess a high school diploma Certified Journeyperson Mechanic Class A License, Truck and Coach License, Ozone Depletion certification. Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment Heavy Duty experience and Welding experience would be an asset Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening) Demonstrated commitment to safety Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced.
