Role: Mechanical Technician Location: Birmingham Salary: £Competitive + Bonus + Benefits My client, an international leading manufacturing company based in Birmingham is currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their rapidly expanding company. As a heavy manufacturing company, they require a Mechanical Technician tojoin their established team of 6 engineers, working on a day shift Mon - Fri in a continuous 24/7 process plant. Your Role: - The individual will be required to repair, overhaul, and attend to breakdown situations, all within a continuously operating plant. - Assisting the engineering maintenance team leader in identifying future maintenancerequirements. - Have a proven background in the maintenance and repair of heavy industrial processequipment which includes, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors. - Proficient in hydraulics, together with the ability to read schematic drawings and faultfind. - Knowledge of mounting and dismounting of large bearings. - The ability to fabricate and TIG weld in stainless steel. The Candidate: - Mechanical experience gained within a process manufacturing industry. - Have a recognised apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline to ONC or equivalent. - To be proactive and consider problems as a challenge. - Having a strong commitment to Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards isessential.
