St Martha's has a close-knit department of Obstetricians, and receives delivery of more than 350 newborns per year, with excellent, on-site Pediatric newborn coverage and is the regional acute care facility serving residents of Antigonish, Guysborough, and Strait-Richmond Counties. Obstetricians have good access to the OR and collegial surgical colleagues. Call will be 1:5 after hiring. SMRH offers a wide range of primary and secondary services through inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services and programs. The emergency department is staffed by family medicine physicians with emergency medicine certification. Low-risk maternity services are provided by midwives, family physicians and obstetricians. Obstetrics is supported by our on-site laboratory, diagnostic imaging and colleagues in many specialties with access to our tertiary care colleagues in all subspecialties at the IWK in Halifax. Funding Model: APP Salary range: $400, 000 - 450,000 Responsibilities Responsibilities Full scope of practice as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist providing care to patients at the St Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish. The individual will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority as part of the in-hospital care provided.
