YOUR LIFE AS A SOFTWARE APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST As a Software Application Support Specialist at our nonprofit, you're the go-to guy or gal for handling customer inquiries and busting pesky tech problems like a pro. With your mad skills in the JIRA ticketing system, you navigate through tickets like a ninja, creating, processing, and tracking them with ease. Your attention to detail is so precise, it's like you have a microscope attached to your eyes! You meticulously record every customer interaction and transaction, logging incidents in JIRA like a boss and documenting symptoms, root cause, and recommended solutions with clarity. Working alongside the development team, you tackle the trickiest of technical issues with gusto and always keep an eye out for new ways to improve processes and procedures. You're like a tech superhero, always ready to take on new challenges, help your team members, learn new skills, and improve overall team results. When it comes to prioritizing tasks, enhancement requests, and features, you're like a grandmaster playing a game of chess. You expertly weigh the options to maximize value and align with the product strategy. Keep on slaying those tech problems, oh great one! WORK SCHEDULE In this full-time IT role at our nonprofit, you work Monday through Friday during regular business hours . REQUIREMENTS FOR A SOFTWARE APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in a customer support role for a software product Proficiency in computer and software applications, including Microsoft Office Familiarity with ticketing systems Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development processes Experience with Jira or similar service desk software Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and ethical practice Ability to navigate complex or difficult situations and bring about positive resolutions Covid-19 vaccination Do you have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail? Can you explain technical information in layman's terms? We need someone who works well with others, prioritizes tasks effectively, and consistently achieves goals.
