Position Title: Accounts Payable Primary purpose and function of position: Provide accounting and analytical support to the finance department Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Enter invoices into the accounts payables system, including assigning appropriate general ledger codes Process check requests and invoices ensuring all appropriate documentation and approvals have been received Monitor credit card statements, circulate to cardholders and ensure proper support is received for all expenses Oversee the retention of documents by electronic scanning and filing Track and process inventory transfers Reconcile alcohol invoices to liquor control reports and ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local liquor laws Contact past due suppliers for collection Investigate, resolve and respond to supplier/vendor inquiries Assist with processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll Assist with monthly general ledger preparation and review as well as the year-end audit Follow general ledger posting and closing processes to ensure the validity of all financial information Ensure record systems are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Other duties as assigned Qualifications and requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred; High school diploma or GED certificate required Minimum of three years accounting experience Knowledge of finance and accounting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems Ability to analyze financial data Highly organized with strong attention to detail Self-motivated with a positive attitude Ability to manage multiple responsibilities Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication skills with internal and external contacts Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality Proficient computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel Ability to work with minimal supervision Regular and reliable attendance required Ability to perform all essential job functions and duties as assigned Ability to pass a required pre-employment background and drug screening Benefits (Based on position): Health/Dental/Vision insurance Short-Term Disability/Life Insurance Long-Term Disability & Voluntary Life Insurance Available 9 Paid Holidays 5 Paid Personal Days 401K Sign-On Bonus
