Are you looking for summer job? Apply now to become a youth job coach! Job coaches support youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities to learn their work responsibilities and job tasks. The job coaches assist those indidvuals with their work assignments by providing on-site support out in the community when it is necessary, checking in with the individual and employer, and helping to foster natural supports relationships with coworkers . Job coaches would help the people that they support to live/work as independently as possible which allows the people that they support to achieve their goals and dreams. This is a temporary position and is exclusively only offered during the summer months. There are about 25 kids in the whole program. This is a part-time position offering 20-28 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Pay Rate: $16.35 Requirements: We will consider anyone who: Must be at least 21-years-old or over Have a valid driver's license and at least 1 year but preferably 2 years of driving experience not including the time on your permit with a good driving record Has a high school diploma/GED Can pass a basic reading comprehension and math test, a background check, and pre-employment screenings which include a drug screen and physical/fitness test. Is physically fit in order to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds Benefits Include: Health Dental Vision Disability Life Insurance 403b Retirement Plan Paid Time Off: 14 days the first year and 20 days the second year Holidays: 7 paid holidays Most of these opportunities are entry-level with no experience required. We provide paid specialized training during your first two (2) weeks of employment - M-F from 8:30 - 5:00 pm. Job shadowing time with more experienced staff is also provided to teach you everything else you need to know!
