Do you have an interest in a retail and customer service position at a Zoo facility? "There's more to explore" at Peoria Zoo as a Safari Gift Shop & Admissions Staff member. Apply online today. Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour. We are one park district, one community. Sell admission accurately and efficiently. Actively solicit membership sales and all other appropriate tickets/offers. Sell all souvenir or concession items accurately and efficiently. Receive and tag merchandise. Stock gift shop shelves. Keep all gift shop areas and work spaces clean and visitor friendly. Tend to all customer needs/issues in a prompt and courteous manner. Answer phone calls and relay any necessary messages to staff. Record group reservations and coordinate with appropriate departments. Open registers and prepare assigned area before public arrives. Close out registers at the end of business day; transfer money to appropriate supervisor. Clean assigned areas. Assist in preparation of deposits and associated record keeping.
