JOB SUMMARY Oakbrook Corporation is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician in the Milwaukee, WI market with strong people skills and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate understands that in our business, the tenant comes first. Our Maintenance Techs provide direct support to tenants by responding to and troubleshooting a variety of residential service requests such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances and building exteriors. They take pride in maintaining public areas and completing apartment turnovers to ensure a comfortable property tenants can call home. Successful maintenance technicians have a can-do attitude and build positive tenant relationships by providing top notch customer service. They consistently demonstrate thoroughness, organization, and accuracy in all they do. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU Salary range of $24-$28/hr depending upon experience Comprehensive benefits package including generous PTO, paid holidays, 401k, health, dental, vision, life, LTD, EAP, and more Company vehicle and maintenance of the vehicle is provided Consistent scheduling to support work life balance Updated buildings and facilities Employee engagement events throughout the year Work with a "hometown" company proudly serving the Midwest since 1987 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Complete work requests within 24 hours of receipt Ensure all vacant apartments are ready for occupancy Maintain grounds care and housekeeping as needed Report accidents, emergency, or safety concerns to supervisor immediately Snow removal and salting duties. Maintenance of apartments Training and/or onboarding of team as directed Demonstrates and follows the Oakbrook Values: Ethical, Professional, Collaborative, Family All other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES High school diploma or GED Experience in residential property maintenance or related Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, construction, carpentry, painting, vendors, parts, and services Interpersonal skills to interact with tenants and others as needed Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision Must provide own basic tools needed for the position Physically able to perform job duties with or without accommodation Must have a valid driver's license and able to travel amongst multiple properties
