We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time Commercial Loan Officer I at our Calumet St branch in Appleton! The Commercial Loan Officer I will Originate, manage and supervise a portfolio of small business loans (relationships under $500,000) with the overall objective of maintaining strong asset quality through solid underwriting and monitoring, and growth by developing new and existing business relationships. Represent the Credit Union in the local community through participation in community affairs and participating in marketing of the products and services. The primary responsibilities of the Commercial Loan Officer I role include but are not limited to: Support the credit union's strong relationship culture through on-going customer contact, quality member service, and superior product knowledge. Assist members with any Business Services related questions and concerns Develops new lending and deposit business for the Credit Union by fielding inside calls/emails and calling on members to expand existing business Underwrite business credit card requests and internal business auto loans Monitors an existing small business loan portfolio to help maintain a high asset quality. Maintains up-to-date member files as required by loan policy and underwriting standards Maximize profitability through appropriate pricing of new loan originations and renewals, fee income, and selling of all products and services Negotiate terms, structure loan financing based on risk considerations, and present credits for approval. Obtain Loan Approvals: Review member financial condition and assess the member's ability to re-pay the loan Work with underwriting to create a solid credit presentation for loan committee Present credit presentation to loan committee for approval Loan Closing Activities: Coordinate and drive all closing activities through the loan processing department Work with loan processing to make sure all loan documents are completed correctly Work as a team with other lenders, acting as a sounding board when teammates are structuring deals, and informally mentoring less experienced lenders Hand off any relationship or request exceeding $500,000 with a warm introduction to a Commercial Loan Officer II or Commercial Loan Officer III Complete abbreviated annual reviews for entire small business portfolio Calling on prospective members seeking opportunities to expand the Credit Union member base Candidates for the Commercial Loan Officer I position should possess: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Economics preferred 2-4 years of commercial loan underwriting or lending experience Proven track record in working with all levels of senior management Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain a professional, courteous and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers Strong initiative, self-direction and a focus on financial relationship building Fox Communities Credit Union is a $2.5 billion in assets community-based credit union serving more than 115,000 members at over 20 locations.
