Developmental Test Pilot JHNA is seeking a talented Developmental Test Pilot to join our growing Fort Eustis team in Newport News, VA. This work has a projected start timeline of early 2023. JHNA is a Digital Engineering firm focused on providing engineering and technical services primarily to DoD's Aviation communities. JHNA is a critical partner to these communities providing MBSE, MOSA, and platform security (cyber and anti-tamper) support. Roles/Responsibilities: The Developmental Test Pilot (DTP) support shall be responsible for the planning, executing, and reporting of developmental flight test that supports research and advanced concept programs that support aviation initiatives for AID, TAPO, and SIMO as well as AATD, DoD, government agencies and the defense industry. The DTP shall coordinate and execute ground and flight testing or test-related activities for the various research and development activities to include: testing activities at airfield or off-site, test program management, project test support and program management for test activities. The DTP coordinates test efforts with acquisition agencies including Program Manager's offices, TRADOC Capability Managers, contractors, and the user community. The DTP performs developmental test pilot duties in multiple aircraft types IAW USNTPS Flight Test Manuals and ADD SOPs and command directives and memorandums. This effort will require the contractor to be compliance with Army Regulation 95-20. Additionally, DTPs will act as Test Directors and supervise flight test programs and all test flight activities on assigned projects and programs. Qualifications Required: Active Secret Clearance Bachelor's degree in a technical or aviation-related discipline; Shall be a graduate of DoD course of instruction for Instructor Pilot (IP) or Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) Minimum of 15 years' experience with military rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft Minimum of 5 years' experience in the development of systems design, systems applications, engineering, developmental and acceptance test including fielding and sustainment of aircraft and aircraft systems. The Pilot shall possess a current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate, Instrument rating (helicopter) as required by AR 95-20. Desired: Graduate of a DoD approved Engineering Test Pilot Program or FAA approved equivalency (with approved TPS Waiver).
