OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW: We are seeking a superintendent to assist with commercial projects throughout South Florida. The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion. RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee daily operation of construction projects Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed Communicate project progress with clients and project managers Manage subcontractors and construction site organization Ability to review, interpret and incorporate plans, contract documents into the project site/structure development Capable of managing multiple trades on any given occasion, understand and assure compliance with codes, regulations and the architect's intent Familiarity with necessary paper work ie; daily photographs, field logs, inspections, safety meetings, progress schedule updates and computer skills Ability to supervise site work including verification of layout, grades and performance OSHA certification Temperament and ability to interface with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Building officials and inspectors in an effective and professional manner QUALIFICATIONS: 3-5 years of experience in construction area Strong project management and communications skills Ability to read construction documents Familiarity with regulatory construction standards Job Posted by ApplicantPro
