Arc of Iowa has an opening for a Vending Clerk . This is an 8-10hr/week position. The initial scheduled hours vary but are Monday-Friday, Flex as needed. This position is reserved for a person with an Intellectual or developmental disability. Specific Duties : Actively support and further the mission of The Arc. The mission of The Arc; To empower people with disabilities to believe in their own unique abilities and achieve their full potential by providing quality, innovative services that focus on advocacy, independence, employment, meaningful community life and personal happiness. Fill the vending machines with snacks and soda from the storage room. Properly dispose of empty cartons. Complete a simple inventory sheet. Maintain cleanliness of vending machines. Trouble shoot minor technical issues and communicate any unresolved issues in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service at all times (build rapport, communications and attentiveness to customer needs, etc) Count money and make deposits as needed. Properly dispose of any trash and empty cartons. QUALIFICATIONS Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs Ability to look at the vending machine and determine what items need filled. Ability to put items into the machine until it is full. Ability to identify and correct basic problems with vending machine functionality or the ability to communicate unresolved issues. Ability to count dollar bills as well as change and complete deposit slips and banking deposits. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team with vending and retail outlet staff.
