Job Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and mentor team members including dock managers and workers Be in constant contact through visits and phone/email with our Carrier Partners (CP's) and individual customer locations/dealers Manages team through metrics and also the communication to/from the customer while prioritizing issues and resolutions Drive continuous improvement across the area of operations by setting goals, assigning projects, and ensuring that each member of the team has the training and resources to be successful Knowledgeable on the requirements of each customer and their contracts Development of action plans and communicate and coordinate with the District Manager Performs cross dock audits, facilities maintenance, security, and equipment Other job duties as assigned Requirements: Frequent travel to cross dock locations, Carrier Partner facilities, and customer sites Ability to have constant communication via phone and email and onsite visits Flexible with working long hours and extra days as needed Six (6) years' experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Warehousing High School Diploma required Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Transportation preferred Management experience in transportation/logistics including dock and cross dock operations Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office including; Word, Excel, and Outlook Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Outstanding problem solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at any given time Lanter Delivery Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer 2630 E AINSWORTH ST.
