This private day school provides full-day special education and related services to male and female students from grades 3 – 12, up to age 21. Here we help students reach their full potential by supporting in academic growth, along with behavior, social and life skills in a well-structured environment.Arrow is currently seeking a Classroom Aide for our Tangram School to partner with us in assisting classroom teachers in transforming the lives of students who need intensive individualized academic and behavioral services. Arrow Tangram's 1:1 student-to-staff ratio offers the Classroom Aide with the opportunity to make positive and effective impacts on individual students, while providing direct instruction with guidance from our special educators. In this role, you will also directly support students in group and community-based instruction and implement individualized student behavior intervention plans and protocols. Job Functions of an Ideal Arrow Tangram Classroom Aide is included but not limited to: Assists the teacher with individualized instruction and direct support to an assigned student or small group of students. Supervises and manages student behavior in the classroom, school, and school-sponsored functions. Maintains a safe learning environment for students within the scope of The Arrow Center for Education: Cromwell Bridge administrative policies and procedures. Provides a positive learning environment for students that aid in developing personal independence. Arrow Tangram Classroom Aide Benefits: $500 Hiring Bonus - $250 at first pay, $250 after six (6) months. For the safety of the children and families we work with, as well as those in our Arrow family, background and drug screenings are required by our licensing bodies at the time of offer and on a continuous basis after hire. As a potential candidate, submission to and successful completion of these screenings is required.
