Surgicare Center, our outpatient satellite surgery center, consistently garners high patient satisfaction ratings for its patient-friendly approach and convenience, especially for people with restricted mobility. Located on the Convenient Care Campus on Warren Road in Ithaca, Surgicare makes it easier for many people in Tompkins County and the region to have routine outpatient surgery nearer to where they live and work. The Registered Professional Nurse responsible for perioperative care of the surgical patients. Must have the ability to circulate all cases including orthopedics, general, ophthalmology. Care of operative patients based at Surgicare but this professional will be cross trained for the Main Campus as well. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the provision of direct patient care as assigned . These responsibilities will include the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs. This is a Part Time daytime position. Employment Criteria Possession of current NYS Registered Nursing license. Possession of Associates Degree in Nursing. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to move and lift patients with assistance.
