CommQuest seeks a Drug & Alcohol Counselor/Residential Counselor for our men and women's residential facility, Wilson Hall in Massillon, Ohio and Deliverance House , Canton Ohio. This position is unique in that you will be working with both our male and female residents. You will play a vital role for our clients who are in treatment recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. CommQuest Services is one of the largest non-profit mental health, addiction recovery, and social services organizations in Northeast Ohio, working with clients from more than 34 counties in 12 facilities through more than 20 programs. We help people make positive changes in their lives through in-patient, outpatient and school-based programs, along with supportive services - from basic needs to employment assistance. Schedule: This is a full-time position during day shift hours. Must have the ability to work weekends and have the flexibility to work additional hours as needed and requested by the Supervisor. Must have a clean driving record, personal vehicle and insurance. What you'll do: Provide chemical dependency and mental health intakes, screenings and assessments May be asked to complete jail screens Provide individual and group counseling as well as client and family education Orient new clients to the agency's treatment philosophy. Provide crisis interventions as needed. Perform clinical record keeping. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field is highly preferred. Minimum licensure of LCDC II, LPC, or LSW is required. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. Minimum of 1-2 years' experience with AoD population is preferred, as well as previous residential experience. A demonstrated knowledge of addiction, Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12-step programs, assessments, treatment plans, and individual/group counseling is highly desired!
