THE POSITION Summary We are looking for a results oriented Sales Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of the Client Relations department for Carolina Family Estate Planning. This person will lead the intake, sales and client success functions of the firm and take ultimate responsibility for engaging potential new clients for services with CFEP and our newly launched Alzheimer's Planning Center. The primary responsibilities of the department are to conduct initial consultations with prospective new clients, convert them to clients, and successfully on-board new clients to the Legal team. This role reports directly to the CFEP Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the development and performance of the Client Relations department to support the continued success of one of the fastest growing law firms in the country. The focus of this job is to optimize sales results with regard to engaging new clients and achieving the highest levels of client satisfaction and retention, while operating the department in an efficient and profitable manner. Primary duties of the Sales Team Lead include developing sales strategies, budgets, projections and incentive compensation plans; tracking progress against firm sales goals; supervising, motivating and holding Client Relations staff accountable; making data-informed decisions and recommendations to upper management to drive sales performance and resource allocation; and continuously looking for ways to develop the skills, knowledge and competencies of the Client Relations staff. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of seven and growing. Establish and track measures of success for the Client Relations department, providing regular progress updates to the CFEP Leadership Team. Identify skill gaps and implement sales process and training improvements to drive sales results. Manage and resolve escalated client issues; deal with complications as they arise. Establish strong cross-functional relationships across all service elements to ensure quality and consistency of service provided. Obtain and grow in depth knowledge of Carolina Family Estate Planning and the Alzheimer's Planning Center products and services. Contribute to firmwide planning and budgeting activities. Understand and leverage existing client support systems and services, and evaluate potential future tools for consideration by the CFEP Leadership Team. Education and Experience Education and/or work experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree 5+ years prior experience in sales or customer facing roles using a consultative sales approach 3+ years proven experience in a customer-based leadership role Self-assurance and the confidence to purposely drive toward results Excellent communication skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of customers Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills, with a proven record of making sound judgment calls Strong conflict management and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability and desire to learn new software and technologies quickly Knowledge of the legal industry is an asset If this opportunity excites you, let us hear from you!
