Certified Surgical Technologist FT Weekender Program

Description:
The Certified Surgical technologist is responsible for the preparation of instruments, linen set-up and all equipment necessary to perform any surgical procedure. These responsibilities include the maintenance of aseptic technique in all surgical scrub procedures. Independent judgment is exercised under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. Employment Criteria Graduation from a surgical technology program or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to move or lift patients with assistance. Current BLS certification. Must have a sound knowledge of surgical supplies, equipment & procedures, combined with ability to carry out detailed instructions. Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of flexibility and the ability to function in a team based environment.
