Cell Site Technician in Cheyenne Wyoming A Cell Site Technician is a core member of a team that maintains and implements Union's cellular network. Union's infrastructure expands across the Rocky Mountain region to provide premier service to rural communities. Working in the ever-evolving industry of telecommunications, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and work with a variety of technology. Essential Duties and Responsibilities These duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Maintain a body weight and physical fitness that meets OSHA and Union's equipment requirements for safe use of fall protection equipment to climb towers more than ninety feet. Maintain network integrity through preventative maintenance. Participate in an on-call rotation, with an added benefit. Ability to operate company vehicles safely including side by sides, snowcats, and machinery. Overcome daily challenges through troubleshooting and problem solving. Travel and work in remote environments at high altitudes and harsh conditions with a team. Install, test, monitor, and ensure operation of the following examples: Cellular radio units, antennas, transmission lines. Batteries and power supplies (including solar systems) and generators. Various types of point-to-point microwave systems. Routers, switches, and backhaul equipment. Various fiber optic components. Antenna path alignment, troubleshooting and repairs.
