POSITION TITLE: BILLING SPECIALIST- FLSA: NON-EXEMPT REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: High School Diploma/GED. Computer knowledgeable. Knowledge of accounts receivable. Experience in dealing with the public. Good communication skills. Experience in existing billing and reimbursement procedures for Medicaid/Medicare and private insurance. Billing and coding experience. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Process claims through data entry Processes Medicare, Medicaid, HCHCP, and Third-Party claims. Follow up and edit claims: i.e.: denials, resubmittals Posting of Insurance Remittance Vouchers Assist and consults with patients regarding their claims Reviews aging of claims past ninety days Other duties as assigned.
