As a Supply Chain Associate you will translate your effective logistics and communication skills to the strategy of our entire team! We need someone who has attention to detail, prior experience in this space, and can communicate effortlessly with partner teams across the organization. Summary: Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Associate will play a key role in helping Soft Surroundings continually improve the logistics process. He/she will assist with international and domestic transportation from source to destination. The Supply Chain Associate will also be responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Manager with defining, planning, and successfully executing initiatives in support of the corporate strategy. Duties Support the Supply Chain team on key initiatives for the organization. Engage actively with cross-functional teams to align goals, influence priorities, coordinate the deployment of resources, and ensure the timely and effective implementation of supply chain initiatives. Provide primary (inbound) shipment visibility and shipment receiving priority to our fulfillment center. Continuously maintain import purchase order in-house dates and provide timely updates to Supply Chain Manager when changes occur. Manage both primary and secondary reporting such as in-transit reports, KPI reporting, and financial month-end reporting. This includes assisting the Supply Chain Manager with Executive KPI decks on a monthly basis. Field vendor and carrier emails regarding primary and secondary logistics questions/issues. Understand freight billing and review primary and secondary freight invoices on a weekly basis. Communicate billing discrepancies with carriers in a timely manner. Perform analysis of large data sets to develop insights and help develop processes that improve effectiveness end-to-end supply chain activities. Provide visibility to cross-functional teams of primary freight rates and transit times by maintaining data within internal systems. Assist Supply Chain Manager with project work as needed. Competencies/Behaviors Energetic and Curious Self DirectedData driven Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate with all levels of management and peers Position Qualifi cations Experience:Minimum of Two (2) years experience in Supply Chain, logistics and/or finished goods transportation. Experience in time sensitive supply chain and logistics functions (3PL operations, consolidation, ocean, air, truck and small package modes) is required.
