Senior Flight Test Engineer

Description:
Flight Test Engineer Essential Functions: Work as part of a team to plan, execute, and report on flight test programs for new aircraft designs, modifications, and upgrades Develop and document test plans, procedures, and reports Conduct flight tests and monitor aircraft systems in-flight Analyze test data and provide recommendations for design changes or improvements Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure compliance with technical requirements and specifications Support certification activities by working with regulatory agencies and industry standards groups Manage and maintain test equipment and facilities Provide technical guidance to other team members and mentor less experienced engineers Adhere to safety regulations and best practices throughout all phases of flight testing Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field 9-12 years of experience in flight test engineering or related field Flight Test or R/C experience a plus Experience with open-source autopilot software Knowledge of aircraft systems, flight controls, and performance parameters Familiarity with flight test instrumentation and data acquisition systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple projects and priorities Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Experience with regulatory requirements and certification processes is a plus Pilot's license or experience flying as a crewmember is a plus Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required AEVEX provides a full suite of comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k)-retirement plan, comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance group coverage with a portion of the premiums paid by the company, professional development funds, and an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) with counseling, legal help, child and elder care support, among other benefits.
