Company: TRISTAR Apply for position at: www.star3.com Location: US Remote 100% Employee Type: Full-Time/ Exempt Travel Required: Yes - Occasionally Relocation Accommodation: No Approximate Start Date: Upon Suitable Candidate Selection Posting Close: Upon Suitable Candidate Selection TRISTAR is seeking a Web Application/JAVA Developer for our up coming government customer in Indianapolis, IN - Position is 100% Remote ( Must live within 50 miles from Indianapolis, IN) Position Description: TRISTAR is looking for a candidate who will work in an environment where you can design the architecture and develop solutions to meet the organization's needs while enhancing your skillset and advancing your career. Looking for an innovative, and motivated individual to join a team of highly talented and passionate individuals. This team designs, creates, maintains, and troubleshoots multiple web based applications that are deployed in both cloud and local on premise environments. We develop, modify, and enhance data and metadata service components What will your workday look like: - Full-time telework position - Participate in daily scrum or stand-up meeting with team members - Participate in Agile/Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Refinement, Code Reviews and Retrospectives - Design and programming to modify or enhance functionality and performance of USMC payroll and personnel modules - Collaboration with product owners, functional experts and other technical professionals with the organization - Support Quality Assurance/Test efforts as required Position Responsibilities: At least three years of experience in Web based application development using any of the following languages and technologies: o JAVA, JAVA Servlet, J2EE compliant HTML, CSS o Web Services, Struts/Spring, PrimeFaces, JSF - Demonstrated understanding of multi-tiered design and development with experience in at least two of the following areas: o Presentation layer (user interface) o Business objects (application logic) o Persistence (database connectivity and access) - Ability to interpret/comply with established architecture and framework - Creation of object-oriented executables using MVC and design patterns - The ability to obtain a security clearance - Knowledge or experience with any of the following: o Object Relational Mapping (ORM) such as EclipseLink, Hibernate or other ORM frameworks. o Maven or similar Java build tools o user stories, creation and management of sprint backlog o test-driven development techniques using tools such as Junit, Mockito or TestNG. o SVN or GIT repository management - Ability and willingness to work independently or as a technical leader in a small team (4-6 members) in a full-time telework environment - Ability to mentor less-experienced team members - Good communication skills Position Requirements: - Knowledge or experience with any of the following: o Object Relational Mapping (ORM) such as EclipseLink, Hibernate or other ORM frameworks o Maven or similar Java build tools o user stories, creation and management of sprint backlog o test-driven development techniques using tools such as Junit, Mockito or TestNG. o SVN or GIT repository management - Ability and willingness to work independently or as a technical leader in a small team (4-6 members) in a full-time telework environment - Ability to mentor less-experienced team members - Good communication skills - Technical/Professional Certification from industry-recognized organization (Oracle, PMI, IQTSB, CompTIA, Puppet Labs, Red Hat, etc) MUST be a US Citizen Must possess active DoD Secret Clearance Education and Certifications: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics COVID Policy: TRISTAR does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
