We are a national emergency response restoration and general contractor specializing in the return of compromised property to its pre-loss condition. We work with our clients to restore their properties. Our team restores commercial, multifamily, hospitality, and educational properties from water damages, floods, fire, smoke, and natural disasters. The Construction Superintendent plans and ensures the operations, coordination, and overall site supervision of the construction project. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications Maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process Ensures the budget is followed in terms of purchases and change orders Organizes and ensures the construction schedule is understood and followed by all sub-contractors and vendors Performs daily inspections of the sub-contractors, their performance, and safety. Conducts weekly meetings to review scheduling and safety Liaises with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site in terms of licenses, building codes, and safety Follows the project construction process to ensure the project is completed on time Supervises the sub-contractors and ensure they are punctual and they deliver on time Makes sure that quality is reserved in the construction process and the budget is maintained Writes weekly updates as to the project's progress and prepares a two-week schedule "look ahead" Attends all on-site meetings, including the monthly construction meeting, reporting on progress when asked QUALIFICATIONS: Technical Qualifications: Must have a working knowledge of MS Office Ability to read all Xactimate scopes Ability to read blueprints Knowledgeable in all areas of building construction and civil infrastructure. Knowledge of building codes, inspections is critical Behavioral Qualifications: Ability to supervise and communicate clearly, both verbally and written Ability to schedule, multitask and be a good problem solver Highly organized with the ability to achieve accuracy and efficiency Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities A highly motivated and goal-oriented individual Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality Experience: Prior experience with restoration (water/fire) projects 4+ years of successful construction project management experience 2 years of supervisory experience in building construction trade PREFERENCES: Experience/understanding of mechanical and electrical processes preferred SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Valid driver's license required WORK REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs The company offers excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Life, Long Term Disability, PTO days, Paid Holidays, and a 401(k) Retirement Plan.
