The purpose of this position is to provide clerical and office support. This position works under close supervision according to set procedures. Duties and Responsibilities The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary. Provides customer service by telephone and by mail; provides assistance and information related to department procedures, forms, fees, payments, or other issues; responds to routine questions, complaints or requests for service; researches problems and initiates problem resolution. Receives and reconciles money to ensure accuracy in report filing; prepares bank deposits. Prepares staff schedules and post assignments. Assists with human resources activities: enter payroll, workers' compensation, FMLA data. Orders office supplies. Performs related work as required. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by one (1) year of general office support experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Physical Demands: Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations. Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment): Special Certifications and Licenses: Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
