Quality Inspector Starting Pay Rate $19.55 to $26.45/hr - DOQ, plus shift differential Aluminum 2nd Shift (Mon - Thur 3:00 pm to 1:20 am) Job Description Follows basic quality techniques, possibly including calibration, to collect samples, inspect, track, analyze, audit, and report on materials, processes, and products using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with LSI's quality standards. Rejects defective parts, and notifies appropriate personnel when a product fails to meet standards. Responsible for quality of work and appropriately resolving unusual operating conditions. May occasionally operate a forklift. May assemble, pack and/or package a wide variety of products or materials. Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications. Willingly modifies work schedule and duties to accommodate Company needs. All other duties as assigned. May require the successful completion of specific education, training, or certifications. Ideal Candidate Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, reading and understanding English language work instructions Preferred Education: Associate or vocational degree Minimum Skills/Experience: Basic Computer and math skills, independent decision-making, and effective self-management. Preferred Skills/Experience: Above plus - Strong attention to detail, Technical skills, and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals. May require specific education, training, or certifications. Functional Requirements Routinely able to: Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reaching forward, reaching overhead, lifting, carrying, crouching, and bending Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering fork truck Walk, sit, or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
