Position Summary: The Store Director is responsible for delivering strong outcomes that align with the mission, vision, and values of our co-op. The Director ensures excellent customer service, effective team leadership, a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment, organized and efficient operations, a visually appealing space, and strong financial and organizational outcomes. This position is also responsible for collaborating with Mississippi Markets administrative functions (HR, Finance, Marketing, Purchasing, IT) to ensure excellent communications and alignment between their store and administration. This role requires strong communication, team building, strategic thinking, problem solving, intercultural competence, and prioritization skills as well as self-awareness, resiliency, adaptability, initiative, judgment, and integrity. Reports to: Operations Director Location: 740 East 7th Street, Saint Paul, MN 55106 Schedule: Shifts may vary, and can include day, evening, and holiday hours to meet department needs. Flexibility required. Qualifications: Retail Experience: experience in a retail setting including perishable and non-perishable inventory management as well as tracking, improving, and managing product margins Multi-Department Oversight: demonstrated ability to provide effective oversight and leadership for multiple units or departments Financial and Strategic Planning and Implementation: demonstrated experience with planning, implementing, and achieving the strategic and financial goals of an organization Communication: demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff in a responsive, effective, and caring manner Team Leadership: supervisory experience including hiring, training, development, performance management, coaching, and team building; leading a team to achieve strong customer service outcomes Safety: demonstrated knowledge and track record of meeting food and staff safety standards and following best practices Conflict Management: demonstrated ability to resolve conflict respectfully, effectively, and fairly "Can-Do-Attitude": demonstrates a positive, adaptable, and flexible attitude with a strong commitment to being a team player Basic Math: ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Computer Skills: basic computer skills including ability to draft and upload documents, email, and navigate Excel spreadsheets in Office 365 Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with natural foods products and industry strongly preferred Multilingual Diverse and multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply Benefits: Our pay and benefits focus on meeting the financial, health, and wellness needs of our staff.
