Description:
4-Day Work Week on 2nd Shift. Monday - Thursday. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Helps Fitter lay-out, measure, position, align, and fit components together per shop drawings. Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding or CNC operations. Repairs components by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and assembling parts. Performs other tasks as assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to effectively interpret blueprints. Able to interpret and transfer imperial and metric measurement data from blueprints and, if necessary, make needed calculations to properly fit bridge components together. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with co-workers. Previous experience in fitting structural steel/metal fabrication preferred. Attention to detail and follow-up. Must be able to operate a forklift.
