JOB TITLE: Engineering Manager DEPARTMENT: Engineering FLSA STATUS: Exempt REPORTS TO: COO Summary: We are currently seeking senior level position who is a clear communicator that is committed to enhancing our 80/20 product menu across our different business models. This position requires a proactive, team-oriented leader who can thrive in a growing organization and will be responsible for driving quality, innovation, efficient, and cost-effective production through process implementation and product design while providing the best-in-class technical support. This hands-on leadership role requires a person that is passionate about growing people and products. Supervisory Responsibility: The Engineering Manager supervises our design engineering, testing, warranty, and technical support teams. Essential Job Functions: Leadership, Management and Accountability (LMA) Product Development Lifecycle Ownership Cost Reduction and Quality Enhancement Technical Support and Warranty Management Compliance Management Required Competencies: Champion Seneca Tank Core Values Serve the Customer Above All Else Do What You Say You Will Do Understand the Value of Reputation Whatever You Do, Do It Well Put in More Than You Take Out Strong business acumen Passion for growing people Strong project management and organizational wide communication skills Technical proficiency in Solid works Strong intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills Desire to lead and enhance industry leading technical support High level of attention to detail Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field 5+ years of experience directly leading teams Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of hydraulic/mechanical/electrical systems Product lifecycle development and deployment with go to market product launch experience Previous experience with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) desired Accountable For: Project Management Cost and Timeline Execution Warranty Expense Product Cost Reduction BOM Accuracy Safety Incidents/Injuries Physical Demands: Must be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. of force frequently, and 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions Safety: Follow policies found in Seneca Tank's Safety Manual Special Conditions of Employment: Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, job candidates are required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug-screen Willingness and ability to obtain a U.S. Passport within 90 days of hire, and travel internationally when necessary Disclaimer: This document is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this job.
