The successful candidate must have a broad background in Government contracting, FAR and DFARS, and experience with multiple contract types. Major program experience is desired. Position will be required to provide cradle-to-grave contract management and administration, support special assignment requests, provide sound judgement and advice on contractual issues to executive and program management with a special focus on risk mitigation, and support proposal team reviews. Must be able to effectively work in a highly dynamic team environment and interact with multiple functional organizations in a global defense company. Responsibilities: Assist in contractual document review (Awards/PO's/Modifications/Surveys/Subcontract Agreements/NDA/TA) and identify key contract obligations and potential risks Provide post-award contract management support to Program Managers Assist with the oversight of post award contract management and compliance requirements Monitor and record deliverables (CDRLs) Develop and distribute all necessary contract correspondence, including tracking and follow up Maintain contracts database and update with modifications Assist in development, structure, and negotiation of contractual documents with customers and/or subcontractors Determine appropriate FAR and DFARS flow downs to be used in subcontracts Support compliance with contractual & operational processes & export control regulations Assist with the review of and response to RFPs and support bid team Qualifications for Contract Specialist Bachelor's degree required 3+ years of defense contract experience required Knowledge of the contract life cycle & administration of the various types of contracts required Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations required Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/365 and a comfort with using new software required S.
