BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):Prepares food according to standardized recipes and approved methods in the Timbers Café. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; reports and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.• Maintains par stock of food items in designated cooking areas.• Cooks items to order using grills, fryers, ovens, steam tables and any other specialized cooking equipment deemedNecessary for food production following set specs & guidelines for proper food preparation.• Assists all servers in the delivery of quality product.• Cleans all areas of the kitchen, but is directly responsible for keeping the work area clean during and after the shift.• Tracks food temperatures and logs them appropriately.• Will act as steward when necessary.• Run Micros and other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):• At least one year of prior experience as a line cook is preferred.• Must be 18 years of age.• Must retain a valid food handler's card.• Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies This description of duties, responsibilities and requirements is a summary, and is not intended to include all that may be assigned or required.
