Senior Database Developer Summary: This role supports the Federal Aviation Administration, which is responsible for ensuring the safety of 45,000 flights and 3 million passengers traversing over 28 million miles of U.S. controlled airspace every day. A critical part of that mission is monitoring the safety of our nation's airports, which involves the collection, management, and analysis of large datasets from multiple sources to inform technology, policy, standards, and regulatory guidance to meet the demands of increasing air traffic, new types of aircraft, and environmental factors. Objective Area Solutions (OAS) is seeking an experienced senior database developer to join our Team in supporting the FAA Airport Technology Research and Development organization, which reviews, categorizes, and analyzes airport accidents and incidents to identify causal factors that may contribute to these events. Members of the OAS Team will provide software development, programming, administration, maintenance, and support for multiple databases to ensure the safety, capacity, efficiency, and modernization of U.S. airports. This is a hybrid position located in the Washington, DC Metro Area. About OAS : OAS is a rapidly expanding management consulting company with a focus on the aviation industry. Required Qualifications - The candidate must possess, at minimum, a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, or other IT degrees. Candidate must have experience with Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft SQL Server, C#, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Bootstrap, Model-ViewController, Angular and Oracle databases. Must have at least 15 years of relevant experience and the following: Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience managing public sector clients Demonstrated ability to leverage best practices and innovative solutions Strong verbal and written communications Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with MS SharePoint Desired Skills & Capabilities: Demonstrated experience with business process design Experience in supporting civilian and/or military aviation organizations Project Management Professional (PMI PMP) Certification
