Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV. ECI has an immediate opening for an accounts payable clerk in Billings, MT. The accounts payable clerk will receive, review, and process companywide employee expense reimbursement and accounts payable vouchers to properly record overhead and project expenses as well as develop general knowledge of business and accounting practices by executing assignments with minimal supervision of an experienced, more senior staff member. This position will report to the Controller. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs a variety of routine bookkeeping work such as checking, verifying, and recording employee expense reimbursements and accounts payable vouchers, or other standard accounting procedures of a recurring nature. Process payment of expense reimbursements and accounts payable vouchers for review, and signature by a senior staff member with check signing authority. Seeks assistance of supervisor or other experienced accounting staff to answer questions regarding correct practices in order to assure a high degree of integrity in executing assignments. May direct work of junior - level clerks and works with only general supervision or entirely on his/her own. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or greater and 2 to 3 years of related experience; good math and organizational skills, plus ; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; ability to work in a team environment; commitment to quality and accuracy; and a willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules. The successful applicant may be subject to client-mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, t he successful applicant will be subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements.
