Respiratory Technician Assistant - Temporary PositionPosition Summary: Help Respiratory Therapists conduct diagnostic tests. Position will help transcribe Cardiologist's reports for diagnostic testing, and scan appropriate documentation into EMR. Position responsible for verifying insurance and obtaining pre-authorizations for cardiac rehab, diagnostic testing and sleep testing.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:· Help conduct patient diagnostic testing throughout the hospital (EKGs, Stress Echos, Halters, Event Monitors)· Transcribe Cardiologist's reports and scan documents into EMR· Verify insurance and obtain pre-authorizations for Cardiac rehab and Sleep lab· Set up home sleep apnea tests· Assist with all Sleep Lab duties and reports· Order departmental supplies· Assist with patient care in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab as neededShift: Days, M-FOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED TO HELP THERAPISTSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Some medical background desired. Ideal candidate will possess an eagerness to learn and demonstrate initiative to provide exceptional customer service, perform job duties in an effective, organized, competent manner. Effectively perform in stressful situations. Current BLS certification
