Asset Management Intern, Chelsea The MWRA MIS Department is seeking an Asset Management Intern to work on Physical Hardware and Software Inventory Audit, Research & Development and Data Entry administration. Candidate will update the existing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Database/Spreadsheets with User Group identifiable information and location. The intern will develop various spreadsheets to track and document MWRA Assets. The Intern will perform data entry, verify assets location and custodian against MIS Asset Database. The intern will document and summarize the findings by asset location. The Intern Works under the supervision of the IT Asset Manager. Responsibilities Conduct Physical Inventory of Hardware, Software and Peripheral Devices Update Maximo Database Records Review Work Orders Research, Review and Request New NIGP Codes Review, Track and document Assets findings by location Develop Draft Presentation on State of MWRA Assets Review existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Travel to Various MWRA Locations if required Comparison Matrix on new product and services including RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) Tags & QR Code Tags Generate reports on Asset findings Qualifications College Computer Science, Information Technology, or Finance major Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Familiarity with asset management terminology and processes Ability to work independently Able to work under pressure and tight schedules Analytical, strong organizational and problem-solving skills Good communication skills required Must hold Driver's License Working Hours The position requires 37.5 hours Monday through Friday.
