BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):To provide excellent service to the guests of TMCH, and assist the Restaurant Supervisor in the managing of the service staff of the Plankhouse Restaurant. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.• To keep the Mill Casino clean.• Responsible for maintaining acceptable levels of guest service and satisfaction.• Responsible for guest interaction, i.e., greeting, seating, making the guest feel at ease.• Must be aware of all daily food specials, as well as beer and wine specials.• Answer telephone calls and transfer to the appropriate departments within the Casino when necessary.• Assign floor assignments, making sure all servers are accounted for, and that they are in the proper uniform and on time.• Record all absences and tardies called in to the front of the house and cover shifts if necessary.• Coordinate breaks with the staff.• Interact with customers on the floor frequently, making sure service is satisfactory.• Responsible for cashiering and must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the Micros system.• Other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):• Excellent guest service skills.• Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision.• Must have a valid OLCC permit.• Must be flexible in schedule.• Ability to answer telephone with proper etiquette.• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.• Must meet dress standards as required at all times.• Must meet health and sanitation standards at all times.• Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies This description of duties, responsibilities and requirements is a summary, and is not intended to include all that may be assigned or required.
