PT - Program Assistant - Adult General Education

The PT - Program Assistant for Adult General Education position is directly accountable to the Adult Education Program Coordinator. The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carry out its mission. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direct support to the entire Adult General Education (AGE) Program. Provide instructors with the materials necessary to complete reporting procedures and monitor attendance. In collaboration with Raider Central, admit and register students into appropriate AGE programs. Audit all enrollment and registration paperwork for discrepancies and make necessary corrections. Provide transition advising to students on an as needed basis. Coordinate with community and post-secondary institutions to assist students with transition. Administer assessments for incarcerated students and process assessment scores into Banner. Prepare and maintain assessments schedule for AGE students located at assigned campus or center. In collaboration with Testing Center, schedule after hours assessments when necessary. Verify assessment results for each student and maintain tracking of Measurable Skills Gained (MSG) performance outcome. Track data for project completers. Maintain accurate project records in compliance with college policies and grant requirements. Develop and maintain internal tracking system of all performance measures. Provide end of week reports of required reporting data to Program Coordinator. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Conduct pre- and post-GED interviews. Assist in the preparation of state and federal reports. Participate in recruitment activities as directed by Program Coordinator. Perform other duties as required in support of the program. QUALIFICATIONS Associates Degree from an accredited college with a minimum of two years of work experience in providing assessment, data collection and reporting. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Psychology, Counseling or other related career field preferred. Experience working with individuals in an educational setting preferred. Experience in TABE, CASAS, GED Ready exams preferred. Experience using student information and/or learning management systems preferred. Occasional evenings required to support testing on campus and in county jails.
