Job Description WHAT MOVES YOU • A passion for food and customer service • You strive to forge relationships to build a strong team • You’re a stickler for details, you have a strong understanding for the financial part of the business, controlling cost like a boss and delivering on financial commitments! • You are proactive in running the business, always staying one step ahead, anticipating the needs of the customer and the Client alike WHERE YOU’LL WORK • Scenic location on the beautiful Thompson River University Campus overlooking the beautiful Thompson River • World-class golfing, skiing and hiking nearby • Only 1 hour by plane to Vancouver/Lower Mainland area or 3-hour drive The Retail Manager will provide direct operational, and financial oversight for all retail franchises, and food service outlets on campus, with the support of the Food Service Director and District Marketing Manager. Job Responsibilities • Responsible for the daily operation of all Retail Food Service Outlets/Components, ensuring they are running smoothly, understanding that there will be times when you’ll have to “jump in” and work within the component • Implements and leads compliance on all Aramark operating standards, Franchise standards, and legislated standards within the component including company policy and procedure, Health and Safety Standards and Safe Food Handling • Develops operational component forecasts each period, able to explain variances in sales, costs and operational activities • Responsible for scheduling and tracking daily labour on schedules to ensure that forecasts are met • Ensure proper submission of daily sales reporting • Responsible for the hiring and placement of all staff in Retail Food Service Outlets • Coach and train teams in all retail departments • Responsible for inventory management, ordering, receiving, and pricing • Ensure development and training of customer service programs and product knowledge for all, to ensure ARAMARK service standards.
