For more information on these programs and to determine your eligibility, please contact Department of Health and Wellness Physician Resources, About the Opportunity The Department of Medicine in Halifax is seeking two rheumatologists to join the medical community in the greater Halifax area. The successful candidates will participate in the delivery of rheumatologic care in a private practice setting with the potential for collaboration with the university-affiliated rheumatologists. The catchment area includes patients from across the province which allows for a wide referral base. This opportunity offers flexible work environment where the physician can work in a solo practice, co-located with family physicians or other specialists, etc. If working outside of the Halifax area is preferred, there is potential opportunity to have a position transferred to another zone to accommodate this. Responsibilities care for new and returning patients with rheumatologic conditions work a full scope of practice as a rheumatologist requires affiliation with the Central Zone of Nova Scotia Health Authority Expected Hours permanent, full-time flexible working hours/day negotiable call coverage Qualifications all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Community Details Halifax is a perfect paradox. .
