Heavy Duty Mechanic / Apprentice Location: Edmonton, ABDiversified Transportation is currently seeking a full-time Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic or Apprentice (all levels considered) for its Edmonton-based shop. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will work in a fast-paced environment maintaining a fleet of modern highway motorcoaches, site service vehicles, and shuttles. Diversified offers an above average work environment with an emphasis on safety and training. Compensation: $25.03 - $38.38 per hour Work Shift: Full-time - 7 and 7 shift (DAY SHIFT ONLY)What We Offer: No night shifts Paid apprenticeship leave Annual tool & boot allowance Shifts to support a healthy work life balance Health & dental benefits RRSP opportunity Job Duties & Responsibilities: Maintenance & repairs of motorcoaches CVSA Inspections Respond to breakdowns Supervision of apprentices Qualifications & Skills Required: Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs Excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge of computer technology trends in the service industry, i. e. diagnostic programs and service manuals Ability to develop new solutions and techniques to solve problems related to new and/or different equipment Keep maintenance reports and documentation Ability to obtain clearance for the following tasks are required: Driving record check (abstract), Physical Demands Analysis (PDA), Drug & Alcohol Test (DNA), Criminal record check Education Requirements: Certified Heavy Equipment Technician (recognized in Canada) All apprenticeship lvels will be considered Valid Class 1, 2Q or 3Q driver's license is considered an asset.
