About Our Opportunity We are seeking a Program Specialist to join our team. This is a key position within the Marine Renewable Energy and Clean Innovation Division responsible for providing support to the Department's efforts to develop clean energy resources, reduce Nova Scotia's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, create jobs, and transition to a low-carbon economy. As the Program Specialist you will be responsible for administering the programs and services related to clean growth and marine renewable energy. As the Program Specialist, you will carry out activities necessary to effectively fulfill the legislative obligations of the Marine Renewable-energy Act and regulations and support the administration of the tidal energy licence and permit program. You will work collaboratively as a member of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team, other provincial partners, and external stakeholders. This position also provides substantive support in broader areas of research and development. Primary Accountabilities The primary focus of this position will be program development, delivery, administration, and evaluation of programs as well as policy analysis and research on marine renewable energy and clean innovation initiatives.
