Purpose Support operation by coordinating the Safety Health guidance to all employees in all departments. Promote, coordinate and implement activities to improve and maintain high levels of safety and performance. Act as a resource for all of the workplace parties and an advocate of the Internal responsibility System (IRS). SAFETY AND SUSTAINABILITY EXPECTATIONS Conduct site inspections and assist with accident investigations. Audit the workplace, identify hazards and make recommendations to reduce exposure to the workforce Coordinate and monitor activities relating to FRM, Live Work and other Health/Safety and related programs / activities. Support Emergency Response planning and training. Promote and adhere to Newmont policies. Develop and maintain good relationships with local stakeholder groups Prevention Oversee the inherent programs i. e. 5 Pt. Safety System, Safety Meetings, etc. Support development and reviewing job procedures. Monitor the functioning of the IRS and make recommendations for its improvement. Regularly audit or arrange for the audit of the elements of the health and safety system, and to suggest ways of improving them.
