Job Description Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Assistant Printing Press Operator is responsible for assisting with, set-up, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations. It's a rotational & continental shift that rotates on to evenings and weekends. There are ample opportunities to get involved, learn and grow with Cascades. This job is recognized under National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2011. Shift: Days and Afternoon shift/ Rotating shift. Flexibilty is required. Job Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: • Feed the machines and assist with setting-up various sections on machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques. • Obtain order and verify stock specifications and condition. • Monitor box quality, and report any quality problems to the Operator. • Complete necessary administrative duties and reports in an accurate and timely manner. • Assist operators with job duties on machine. • Turn in maintenance orders to supervisor for repairs. • Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment. • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including conduct, Health & Safety and maintaining good housekeeping, as well as all government regulations. • Additional duties related to or not related to this job classification as assigned by supervisor.
